James Clifton

Chairman

James started his career client side, before working in a diverse range of digital, direct and integrated agencies both in the UK and USA and has been fortunate enough to have worked on an eclectic mix of national, multi-national and global clients covering B2B, B2C and B2B2C.

In 2008 he created balloon dog, a full-service communications agency, that was acquired by the Mission Marketing Group in 2012. In March 2015 this merged with fellow Mission Marketing Agency, Big, to create the 160-strong full-service creative agency – bigdog, where James remains CEO.

Dylan Bogg

Dylan Bogg

Dylan has picked up countless creative awards for a variety of clients across a host of disciplines and channels during his time in the industry. He has also been a judge on many a creative awards panel including the coveted D&AD awards.

Dylan was a founding partner of Big Communications, an agency that soon built an enviable reputation for outstanding creativity.


Big was acquired by the Mission Marketing Group in 2004. In 2015, when Big merged with with balloon dog, Dylan was appointed Chief Creative Officer.

Dawn Marrs

Dawn Marrs

Managing Director (London/Norwich)

Dawn has over 20 years experience working in global agencies such as Saatchi & Saatchi and Cheil. From a fully integrated client service background she has previously led and strategically directed huge accounts such as Samsung, Coca-Cola and Mars.

Dawn joined bigdog in June 2015 taking up the role of MD for London and Norwich.

Ross Faulkner

Ross Faulkner

Managing Director (Leicester)

Ross has spent over 20 years working with brands and agencies to help solve clients’ problems and grow their businesses.  In this time, he’s been a Strategist at Naked Communications, a Marketing & Insight Manager for Coca-Cola and he’s also built and headed up the Creative Solutions team at ITV. 

Ross joined bigdog as the Planning & Strategy Partner in 2014 before taking up the role of MD in March 2015.

Mike Smith

Mike Smith

CEO (Leicester/Belfast)

Mike brings leadership experience from over 25 years spent at some of the big integrated agencies in London such as Leo Burnett, Lowe and Havas. He has worked with brands across a broad range of sectors, with local market, regional and global remits.

Mike joins bigdog from Mission sister agency, RLA where he was CEO.

Stephen Roycroft

Stephen has 26 years’ Agency experience and has been responsible for the quality, relevance and effectiveness of high profile, award winning campaigns for Clients in advertising, design and digital. Trained and experienced for the first years at McCann Erickson in Belfast, London and Manchester, Stephen moved to Ardmore Advertising in 1996 helping build that Agency to industry leadership status throughout Ireland over the next 18 years.
