bigdog appointed as creative agency by Sky Bingo to work on its biggest ever advertising campaign across television, social and digital media.
Working in partnership with the UK’s fastest-growing bingo site we delivered an innovative strategy that aims to differentiate Sky Bingo by focusing on the adrenaline and excitement of playing, whilst also showing the brand love for the game.
To develop a new brand framework, uncover the most salient insights and deliver the big idea for Sky Bingo we used our tried, tested and trusted methodology that we call brand growth. This is a collaborative process, ensuring stakeholder buy-in and validation throughout that gives a full-rounded view of the business, the brand, the market and the customer. Our extensive research yielded some surprising insights into why people play online bingo. It’s not just for the sense of community, or for the win, but mostly for the adrenaline rush that the ‘one number to go’ moment provides. This was found to be just as exciting as actually winning by those who take part, and it is this feeling that the new campaign will drive home to demonstrate how exhilarating the game can be.
Our process led us to the development of a new visual identity for the brand to support the new proposition. The new look and feel played out in Sky Bingo’s largest ever campaign to date. Activity ran across TV, Spotify, digital display ads as well as social media. The campaign itself highlights how a single number can become a powerful source of excitement in the hands of Sky Bingo. The campaign was a major development in Sky Bingo’s continued growth as it was the first time they have entered into a brand-led campaign, having previously focused heavily on acquisition and promotional activity.
