Making our mark

We partnered with our sister-Agency Mongoose to launch the latest New Balance England cricket kit. A huge responsibility with global significance.

We wanted to drive cricket forwards and inspire a younger audience. To achieve this we knew we had to create a real link between the kids and the star players. So, our Make Your Mark campaign took the game of cricket to the streets where they live and did something truly epic.

We staged a huge urban cricket match bang in the middle of a gritty London housing estate. With the England players centre stage, we challenged the public to be inspired by their heroes and make their mark on sport and in life.

The campaign worked seamlessly with the New Balance philosophy of always striving to be yourself and to be unique. It also perfectly captured the thought that sport is all about moments and taking your chance when it comes.

Working to an extremely tight schedule with limited access to the players, we captured full campaign imagery, launch film and cut downs in just one day. All under the secretive state of a full kit embargo.

Shots and footage were used to reach the audience at every touch point. From in-store POS materials, social and digital assets, to urban Wall Wicket event activation.

The results were also pretty smart, with 95,577 social engagements and a reach of 22,116,880.

The campaign has been so well received the next phase of Make your Mark will launch the England World Cup kit in 2019.
